Do you have stocks or bonds that have grown in value? There can be significant tax advantages to contributing appreciated assets by transferring the asset to the church prior to sale. The church will receive the gift at the fair market value of the asset upon transfer.

To gift stocks or mutual funds to Aldersgate, please provide the following information to your brokerage firm so that the transfer can occur properly.

    • The name of your brokerage firm
    • The address where the gift receipt should be mailed
    • The gift (e.g. X shares of ABC Co.)
    • The date the transfer is scheduled to take place
